Air Nostrum, Valencia’s esteemed regional carrier, has expanded its aerial network by introducing a once-weekly flight connecting Lanzarote (ACE) and Zaragoza (ZAZ), commencing on August 6. As a collaborative partner of the Oneworld airline alliance, Air Nostrum presently manages a robust schedule comprising 91 routes that span both domestic and international destinations, along with charter services.
Lanzarote Airport stands as the third most frequented air hub in the Canary Islands, trailing only behind Gran Canaria and Tenerife South. Situated proximal to Arrecife, the island’s capital, this airport was inaugurated in 1946. It initially focused on charter operations from Europe but has since evolved into one of Spain’s top ten busiest airports. By 2018, it had facilitated travel for over 7.5 million passengers and handled upwards of 1,600 tons of cargo.
Exploring Lanzarote by rental car is recommended for its convenience, providing unrestricted access to the island’s diverse attractions. The optimal arrangement for visitors is to collect a rental car directly from the airport upon arrival, ensuring a seamless transition to their accommodation.
Conversely, Zaragoza Airport, positioned ten kilometers southwest of Zaragoza’s city center in the neighborhood of Garrapinillos, serves as a gateway to the rich cultural landscape of the Aragon region. Zaragoza, the fifth largest city in Spain, is steeped in history as the former seat of the Kingdom of Aragon. Located on the Ebro River and its tributaries, Huerva and Gállego, the city is encased in a vast valley featuring a dynamic mix of deserts, forests, meadows, and mountainous areas, making it a significant urban center in northern Spain.
