airBaltic, a Latvian airline, has unveiled plans to introduce additional temporary flights during this summer to meet the rising demand for travel to specific destinations for a limited time.
This summer, the airline will launch a new temporary route connecting its main hub in Riga, Latvia, with the seaside town of Liepaja. Additionally, at the summer’s end, airBaltic will also begin operating temporary flights from Tallinn, Estonia to Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

These flights enable us to provide more flexibility, which greatly benefits our customers, especially during peak travel times to high-demand destinations.”
The Riga to Liepaja route will be available from July 11 to July 22, and from August 1 to August 5, with flights occurring twice weekly. The fare for Economy Classic is priced at 39 EUR, while the Business fare is set at 99 EUR. Economy class will feature one tier of upgrade options. The flights from Tallinn to Palma de Mallorca are scheduled for once a week on Mondays, with tickets starting from 99 EUR.
airBaltic will also schedule temporary flights from Riga to Ostrava, Czech Republic to coincide with the Latvian men’s national hockey team’s participation in the IIHF 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship, with flights on May 11, 13, 17, 20, and 22. Tickets are currently on sale.
These flights will be serviced by the Airbus A220-300, known for its efficiency and passenger-friendly features such as broader seats, larger windows, increased cabin luggage space, enhanced lavatories, and overall improved performance and fuel efficiency.
Operating over 130 routes from hubs including Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria, airBaltic connects to a vast array of destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
