On Tuesday, the Cambodia Ministry of Information, in collaboration with Yunnan Provincial People’s Government’s Information Office, hosted the inaugural event for the Cambodia Siem Reap Angkor International Airport Cambodia-China cultural corridor in Siem Reap.
Strategically situated in the international passenger departure zone of the airport, the corridor features the exhibition “Face to Face with World Heritage: Civilizations Hand in Hand,” displaying a collection of 100 photographs predominantly from China and Cambodia, along with other Mekong River countries.
Additionally, the venue highlights a section dedicated to showcasing the intangible cultural heritage of Yunnan and Cambodia, featuring traditional crafts like embroidery and wood carving.
During the event, artisans and performers from both countries demonstrated their skills and crafts to travelers, enriching their airport experience.
Wang Jianghong, the Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, announced the launch of new World Heritage tour routes. These routes will connect Yunnan with Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam, offering international visitors a unique opportunity to explore the scenic Lancang-Mekong River area and discover the enchanting landscapes of China.
