IndiGo, the favored airline of India, has unveiled a new route connecting Deoghar and Bengaluru directly, offering flights three times weekly starting June 1, 2024, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This addition aims to bolster connectivity from southern India to the renowned religious centers in Jharkhand.
Presently, IndiGo stands as the sole airline operating from Deogarh Airport. With the introduction of these flights, Bengaluru will mark the fifth destination providing direct access to Deoghar, joining the ranks of Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, and Delhi.
Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said, “As the first and only airline providing connectivity to Deoghar, we are pleased to announce direct flights between Bengaluru & Deoghar. This will not only provide customers with access to the unexplored beauty of Jharkhand’s holy city, but will also offer enhanced accessibility, increased flight options, and improved connectivity for students and employment-seekers travelling across the region. As India’s premier airline, we remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver an affordable, punctual, courteous, and hassle-free travel experience.”
Deoghar, nestled in the heart of Jharkhand, holds profound religious and cultural significance. Housing the revered Baidyanath Temple, one of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyotirlingas, it draws millions of devotees annually. The city’s allure extends beyond spirituality, boasting natural splendor with its encompassing hills, waterfalls, and forests. Deoghar beckons seekers of spiritual tranquility and enthusiasts eager to explore India’s diverse heritage.
Enhancing accessibility to Bengaluru, India’s Silicon Valley, will grant tourists expanded avenues to explore. From the serene landscapes of Cubbon Park to the majestic Nandi Hills, and from the historic charm of Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace to the botanical marvels of Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, Bengaluru offers a tapestry of experiences. Visitors can delve into the regal history at Bengaluru Palace, unwind by the picturesque Ulsoor Lake, or find solace at the ISKCON Temple.
