The 18th International Travel Expo in Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) slated for 5 to 7 September promises to bring extensive access to product innovations, the latest business models, and trend updates to Vietnam’s tourism sector.
Featuring the theme “Sustainable Travel – Creating the Future,” the 18th ITE HCMC centres on the emergence of sustainability as a key competitive advantage in the travel and hospitality industries.
As Le Truong Hien Hoa, deputy director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism, pointed out: “Vietnam offers many opportunities for sustainable tourism but faces challenges in meeting international sustainability criteria. ITE HCMC 2024 aims to provide practical insights and solutions from experts to aid businesses.”
Packed with activities
The event consists of a series of workshops, conferences, and high-level forums. These feature government officials; representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism regional tourism authorities; international travel agencies; MICE operators; luxury travel companies; and restaurants.
With such a packed schedule, ITE HCMC 2024 aims to grow Vietnam’s international visitor market and boost tourism revenue by enhancing global cooperation.
Over 500 exhibitors from domestic and international markets are set to participate, promoting collaboration among tourism agencies, businesses, and service providers.
ITE HCMC is also strategically designed to attract Product Managers specializing in leisure, corporate, MICE, luxury, and special interest travel from leading global companies, with the potential to significantly boost inbound tourism to Vietnam.
ITE HCMC 2024 is also the only travel event in Vietnam with its own hosted buyer programme.
