Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) concluded its multi-city roadshow across India, solidifying its commitment to attracting the Indian market. The roadshow, which began earlier this year with participation in OTM and B2B trade networking events in Delhi and Mumbai culminated in Bengaluru, India’s very on Silicon Valley, on April 19, 2024.
Following a well-attended event in Hyderabad on April 18th, the Bengaluru roadshow specifically focused on Taiwan’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) offerings. Industry enthusiasm was evident in all cities, with participation from travel agents, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), event organizers and corporations.
Speaking of the event, Joseph Cheng, Director of Taiwan Tourism Administration – Singapore Office, said, “Taiwan is a small country yet packs a huge punch as a destination for every segment of travellers, and particularly the MICE groups. An advanced economy and a developed Asian country, it’s an immensely powerful destination when it comes to mixing business with leisure and pleasure. The Hyderabad roadshow, held at the Radisson Hotel in Banjara Hills attracted around 80 leading MICE and leisure companies. The Bengaluru leg, hosted at the JW Marriott, saw participation from nearly 100 key tour operators, DMCs and event companies. Both events featured destination presentations, interactive sessions and networking opportunities. This multi-city roadshow signifies Taiwan Tourism’s renewed focus on the Indian market, highlighting Taiwan’s potential as a MICE destination that seamlessly blends business with leisure.
