A theme-based amusement park and a film institute within the proposed Film City project in Gautam Budh Nagar district is expected to add to the tourism profile of Uttar Pradesh. After studying the Infotainment City projects across the world, international consultancy, CBRE had submitted a detailed report to the UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath recently which proposes a theme based amusement park and an film institute in the 1000 acre Film City project in YEIDA Area of the capital city.
Around 40 acres will be earmarked for the film institute. Talking about making Film City, a new destination for the entertainment industry, the Chief Minister described the proposed Film Institute as being a dream of the youth.
While reviewing the action plan for the development of the proposed ‘Film City’, he said that the theme-based amusement park will also give popularity to Film City as a tourist destination.
The CM said that the reputed filmmakers, directors, studios, technicians of the world should be consulted so that their inputs might help to make the Film City of Uttar Pradesh a truly World Class destination. He said that such efforts should be made that the shooting can start here by the year 2022. The Chief Minister directed to execute various projects of Film City on PPP mode. Representatives of YEIDA and CBRE were present during the presentation.
